Police: More than 220 packets of drug were among illicit substances found
Kennett Square Police said two Kennett Square men face multiple charges after investigators found them with over 220 individual packets of heroin, illegally possessed prescription medication, Ecstasy, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Police said the investigation began on March 23, at approximately 9:30 p.m. when officers acted on a confidential tip. The operation involved the initial contact with Collin Campbell, 21, and Eldon S. J. Ross, 20, and a search of the blue Honda Accord they occupied, which was owned by Ross, police said.
The probe continued with laboratory analysis of the illegal drugs and forensic analysis of the suspects’ cell phones, evidence that resulted in charges against both men for possession and possession with the intent to deliver heroin, criminal conspiracy to deliver heroin, and criminal use of a communication facility, police said. Ross faces additional charges of possession of prescription medication, Ecstasy powder, and marijuana, police said.
Both men were arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Daniel J. Maisano, who set bail at $9,000 cash for Ross, who posted it, and $3,000 cash for Campbell, who did not, court records said. Campbell was transported to Chester County Prison to await a preliminary hearing, which is scheduled for May 27, records said.
