Westtown-East Goshen police announce 2 promotions

Veteran officer elevated to sergeant,  part-timer earns full-time status

Sgt. Stephen Wassell and Officer Jorge Rodriguez recently received promotions in the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Departmetn.

Chief Brenda M. Bernot with the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department recently announced two new promotions within the police department prior to the start of the monthly Police Commission meeting.

Officer Stephen Wassell, a 21 year veteran of Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department, was promoted to the rank of sergeant.  Wassell has served the department as a patrol officer, detective and also DARE officer.   Wassell also maintains the police department webpage and manages many of the community policing responsibilities.  In 1998, Wassell received the Officer of the Year Award.

Officer Jorge Rodriguez, a one year member of the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department, was hired as a full-time Patrol Officer.  Prior to joining the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department, Rodriguez worked as a police officer for the West Chester University Police Department for three years.
