Letter: Yaworski’s passing a loss for Downingtown, community
To The Editor,
Downingtown, Chester County and country lost a leader during the Labor Day weekend when Michael Yaworski died at the age of 92. He was one of the few remaining veterans of the U. S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Yaworski served on the USS Arctic, which was a refrigeration supply ship assigned to the Pacific Theater fleet. He achieved the rank of Boatswain’s Mate and was a gunner captain...

Who isn’t weary and disgusted by the national news? This election year is like nothing we’ve ever seen. It seems as if the news has a new, even more, outrageous story every hour. People are overwhelmed by the anger, political spin, and the hourly updates.
