In the spirit of the holiday season, Senator Tom Killion (R-Chester and Delaware) and his staff are conducting a holiday food drive to benefit the West Chester Food Cupboard.
“While Chester County is Pennsylvania’s most prosperous county, there are still people – often children – in our own community who are hungry,” said Killion. “As the holidays approach, it’s important to be thankful for what we have and make sure no one among us goes without life’s necessities.”
Killion’s West Goshen office will be accepting donations from 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday until Friday, December 20th.
Local residents are encouraged to drop off nonperishable food such as canned tuna, peanut butter, jelly, canned soups, rice, pasta and noodles, cold cereals, and items such as toilet paper, feminine products, soaps, shampoo, and other personal care products. Grocery store gift cards are also welcomed.
Killion’s office is located at 780 E. Market Street, Suite 140 (ground floor). For questions or more information, call 610-436-3320.
“We are a generous, caring community,” said Killion. “I’m glad we’re able to provide this opportunity for local residents to make sure those in need have food on their table for themselves and their families.”
