A 27-year-old West Chester man died Sunday night in a one-vehicle crash in Valley Township, said state police from the Embreeville barracks.

Police said John Michael Stoffa was traveling eastbound on the Rt. 30 Bypass, east of Airport Road, at 10:05 p.m. when he lost control of his 2005 silver Buick Rainier.  He traveled off the southern side of the road, impacting a guardrail and then a tree, police said.

Stoffa was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Two passengers, who were not identified by police, sustained moderate injuries and were transported to Paoli Hospital, police said, adding that the investigation into the crash is continuing.
