FBI honors Valley Twp. Police

FBI-LEEDA Executive Director Jacques Battiste presents the award to Chief Glenn Eckman and Sergeant Timothy Parker.

The Valley Township Police Department has been awarded the prestigious FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI-LEEDA) Agency Trilogy Award, a national honor recognizing agencies that demonstrate exceptional commitment to leadership development and professional excellence. 

FBI-LEEDA Executive Director Jacques Battiste formally presented the award to Chief Glenn Eckman and Sergeant Timothy Parker during a recent Valley Board of Supervisors meeting, acknowledging the department’s dedication to strengthening leadership across all levels of its command staff. 

The Agency Trilogy Award is presented to law enforcement agencies whose entire command staff has successfully completed FBI-LEEDA’s three flagship leadership institutes: the Supervisor Leadership Institute, Command Leadership Institute, and Executive Leadership Institute. These programs focus on critical topics such as ethical decision-making, emotional intelligence, community engagement, implicit bias, and strategies that build public trust.  

Valley Township Police Department is the 26th agency in Pennsylvania and the 79th agency nationwide in 2025 to earn this award. 

“We believe that effective leadership is the cornerstone of successful policing, and by investing in our team, we directly enhance the professionalism of our agency and the quality of service we provide to our community,” said Chief Glenn Eckman. “I am so proud of our command staff for achieving this recognition.”

Each FBI-LEEDA course is uniquely designed to enhance public safety professionals of all levels with leadership and management skills. The courses are instructed by seasoned public safety leaders from across the country who tailor their strong expertise to each class.
