Shooting victim improves; car occupants sought

City police seek info about who was in a pair of white cars linked to shooting

CPDCOATESVILLE — The 15-year-old city boy hit by a stray bullet, Tuesday afternoon, appears to be recovering, police said Thursday.

He was moved, police said, from Paoli Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit to being listed in stable condition.

Meanwhile, police continue to seek leads in the shooting. Police said witnesses have described a pair of white vehicles said to be involved — which police have located and processed for evidence. City police ask anyone with knowledge of the operators and/or occupants of these two cars are asked to contact Coatesville City Detectives at 610-384-2300 or the City’s anonymous tip-line at 411-tips. Anonymous tips can be sent by using the Coatesville PD Tips app or by texting the keyword of Coatesville and a message to 847411.

The youth was struck, after he went to the second-floor window of his Regency Park apartment after hearing gunshots at 4:46 p.m. Tuesday, March 18. He was struck in the abdomen by a bullet, police said. In the immediate aftermath, investigators canvassing the area found several casings in the parking lot of the 400 building on Victoria Drive, police said, adding that the teen lived in the nearby 500 building.
