The suspect is described as a slim white male, about 5-foot-7 and about 40 years old with brown hair, an auburn beard, a cold sore on his lip and a possible injury to his left eye, police said. He was wearing brownish camouflage pants and a blue sweatshirt, police said.

The victim was transported to Brandywine Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Police said they hope someone will be able to identify the man, based on a composite sketch done by the Chester County Detectives. Anyone who comes in contact with the suspect, who is considered dangerous, should call 9-1-1, police said.

In other police news, a noise complaint led police to the 100 block of Harlan Drive on Wednesday at 5:25 p.m., Officer Kirt Guyer reported. Joseph Grier, 54, of Coatesville, was cited for playing music inside his apartment to a degree that it was an annoyance to other residents in the building.

Officer Raymond Jaglowicz was dispatched to the 300 block of Victoria Drive for a harassment complaint, police said. Upon investigation, Clyde Wilson, 81, of Parkesburg, admitted to having a problem with the victim but would not elaborate; he was cited for harassment, police said.

Following up on a call about a parking complaint in the 500 block of Chestnut Street led to the recovery of a stolen vehicle, Officer Arthur Brown reported. Police said the 2000 white Chevrolet Astro minivan had been reported stolen by West Whiteland Police, police said.

Demetrius Dixon, 43, of Coatesville, was taken into custody for public drunkenness on Thursday at 9:54 p.m. near the 700 block of East Lincoln Highway, Officer Ryan Corcoran reported.

On Thursday at 7:17 p.m., Coatesville Police located a stolen black 2005 Nissan Armada in the 300 block of East Chestnut Street, Officer Kirt Guyer reported. Through further investigation, police said the vehicle had been occupied by Jeremy S. Baen, 37, of Coatesville, and he was charged with receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Baen was taken into custody on a bench warrant and taken to the station to await transport by constables to Chester County Prison, Officer Jose Colon reported.

Dayvon Brown, 20, of Coatesville, was cited for “drug-related loitering” on Thursday at 11:48 p.m., Officer Jose Colon reported.  Police said they observed Brown in the area of the Gas Stop, where he kept attempting to flag down vehicles and pedestrians.
