WEST GOSHEN — Township Police are seeking information about an armed robbery at a local Rite-Aid last week.
Police said that the Rite-Aid on Phoenixville Pike was robbed Friday morning, as a store employee arrived to open for business. Allegedly, the employee was approached from behind as he deactivated the store alarm system — and then was violently assaulted. The assailant then forced the store employee to open the store security safe and put the contents into a bag. The suspect then fled — with an undisclosed amount of currency.
The man is described as a black male, wearing glasses, approximately 26 to 40 years of age, 5’11” to 6’00” tall and 180 lbs. to 200 lbs.
Rite Aid is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the actor.
