Coatesville police are seeking a 17-year-old considered “armed and dangerous.”

Police said Da’Quan Gray shot a 21-year-old man a little after midnight on Tuesday in the 100 block of Strode Avenue. The victim was treated at Brandywine Hospital for a gunshot wound to the leg, police said.

Gray, who has been identified as the shooter, has been charged as an adult with criminal attempted homicide and related offenses, police said. His last known address is in the 300 block of Valley Road, and he fled the scene in a white Mercury sedan with unknown registration, police said.

Police described Gray as a 5-foot-8, 130-pound, black male with black hair, brown eyes and a thin build. Anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of Gray is urged to call police at 610-384-2300 or the anonymous tipline:  610-380-1830.

Gray’s Facebook page identifies him as a member of the Coatesville Senior High School Class of 2014, who uses the nickname “Loud Man.”
