Business leaders get snapshot of county’s economy

MALVERN – Almost 200 Chester County business leaders were briefed on planning for the continued business growth in the county by members of the at the organization’s annual stakeholders’ breakfast.

“We have an outstanding business climate and a strong public/private approach to economic development,” President and Chief Executive Officer Gary Smith of the Economic Development Council said. “The breakfast also gave us a chance to acknowledge and thank some of the officials of companies helped by our organization share their success stories.”

The event was held Friday at the Desmond Hotel.

Michael Grigalonis, the CCEDC’s Chief Operating Officer outlined the services offered by the Economic Development Council and how they directly align with the goals of VISTA 2025, the county’s public/private partnership to maintain a vibrant and healthy economy in Chester County.

“Chester County is a wonderful place to live and work,” Smith said. “VISTA 2025 wants to make sure the treasured quality of life is protected while preparing for the future economy. We need an educated work force ready to fulfill jobs and we also need an atmosphere where businesses can start and prosper.”
