CCIU plans adult training open house, Jan. 7

CCIULogoDOWNINGTOWN – The Chester County Intermediate Unit will hold an open house for its adult training programs on Wednesday, January 7 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Technical College High School (TCHS) Brandywine Campus. The address of the school is 443 Boot Road, Downingtown, PA 19335.

Adult training courses are offered in partnership with the Chester County Workforce Investment Board and Pennsylvania Career Link (Chester County), and include a choice of HVAC/Refrigeration Technology or Electronics Technology training. These high demand, high priority occupations boast local industry support, strong job outlook and high average starting salaries.

Each 10-week course includes 60 hours of training on essential career-specific knowledge, technology, computer skills and workplace safety. Courses will also emphasize immersive hands-on activities and problem-solving capabilities. Classes begin Monday, February 23, 2015 and will be held two evenings each week. Free tuition is available with approval from Pennsylvania Career Link (Chester County).

The open house will feature question and answer opportunities, eligibility requirements, tours of the training facilities and information about other adult education opportunities available at one of Chester County’s three TCHS campuses.
