COATESVILLE — City police are looking for information, after an elderly city man was reportedly robbed and then assaulted by two unknown African-American males, Friday.
According to police, the 75-year-old man was sitting on a bench on the 500 block of East Lincoln Highway, in the early morning hours of Aug. 1, when he was approached by the two men. Reportedly, they said to the man “give it up!” and he told police that he surrendered his wallet, keys, ID, about $360 in cash.
Police said that the two men then proceeded to beat the older man, leaving him with contusions, cuts and a black eye before fleeing the scene.
