MALVERN – Rep. Duane Milne (R-167) is once again hosting his annual recycling, shredding and National Drug Take-Back Day event. This year’s event will be held on April 27, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and will be in the parking lot on the Penn State Great Valley campus at 30 Swedesford Road in Malvern.

As always, Milne will be accepting any paper, faded or worn flags for proper disposal, cell phones and chargers, and prescription and over-the-counter medications. The drug take-back initiative is through a partnership with the East Whiteland police. By law, any needles or epi-pens cannot be accepted.

This year, Milne will again take your old or broken electronics or appliances. However, large appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, washers or dryers will not be accepted. Televisions larger than 32 inches also cannot be accepted. Otherwise, generally anything with a plug is welcome. Residents are advised not to bring any light bulbs or batteries.

New this year, Milne will accept any and all eyeglasses, including sunglasses (prescription and regular), as well as hearing aids.

If you have any questions, please call Milne’s district office at 610-251-1070 or visit his website at DuaneMilne.com.
