Gadiel “Gady” Agosto-Diaz, 40, of Nottingham, is accused of illicit communication with a teenage girl.

State police from the Avondale barracks took a 40-year-old Nottingham man accused of illicit communication with a West Goshen teen into custody on Wednesday, police said.

Gadiel “Gady” Agosto-Diaz had been under investigation since December, when West Goshen Township Police received a report that he had been contacting a 14-year-old girl by telephone through text messages and voice communication, West Goshen police said.

During the investigation, detectives said Agosto-Diaz had sent/received 160 sexually explicit text messages and made/received seven telephone calls involving sexually explicit conversations with the girl, police said. The conversation began when Agosto-Diaz dialed the wrong number, police said, adding that he continued the contact, knowing the girl’s age.

The relationship began with casual conversation and then sexual innuendos, which ultimately developed into “telephone sex,” police said. Agosto-Diaz was arraigned and committed to the Chester County Prison after failing to post $50,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing on charges that include corruption of a minor and criminal use of a communications facility is scheduled for Tuesday, police said.
