Coatesville announces return of ‘First Fridays’

Coatesville 2nd Century Alliance announces the return of Downtown Coatesville’s highly anticipated monthly event, First Fridays, beginning May 3rd and continuing through October 2024. In partnership with City Hall, the Coatesville 2nd Century Alliance is committed to aligning resources to help drive economic growth that enables healthy community development.

On the first Friday of each month from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., residents, neighbors and visitors of all ages are invited to explore along 1st to 3rd Avenues where downtown shops, vendors, and restaurants will be waiting to welcome them. Each month will feature a unique theme, entertainment and activities:

  • May – Cinco de Mayo: Embrace the festive spirit of Cinco de Mayo with live music, delicious food and vibrant cultural celebrations.
  • June – Juneteenth: Commemorate Juneteenth with educational events, performances and reflections on African American history and culture.
  • July – Independence Day: Join us for a patriotic celebration in honor of Independence Day, complete with fireworks, live entertainment and family-friendly activities.
  • August – Carnival: Step right up and enjoy the excitement of a carnival atmosphere featuring games, dancing and tasty treats for all ages.
  • September – Harvest Festival: Welcome the arrival of autumn with a Harvest Festival showcasing local produce, crafts and fall-themed activities.
  • October – Fall Farewell: Bid farewell to First Fridays with a finale full of seasonal delights and Halloween-themed fun.
