Scott A. Rosenberg, 25, of Phoenixville, is accused of stalking a woman on her way to work. West Goshen Township Police are trying to determine if other females have been victimized.

A woman on her way to work earlier this month described a frightening encounter that led to the arrest of an alleged stalker, said West Goshen Township Police, who said they are trying to determine if more victims exist.

In a news release, detectives offered this account:  In the early morning of Friday, Jan. 3, the woman reported that she was traveling to work during inclement weather and noticed a silver Honda Civic following her closely. She stopped at a Wawa convenience store, where she said the other driver, later identified as Scott A. Rosenberg, 25, of Phoenixville, approached her, both inside and outside of the store, repeatedly asking for her telephone number.  When she refused, Rosenberg made explicit suggestive remarks, and the woman left the store, police said.

Police said the woman quickly realized that Rosenberg had also exited the store, was following her again, and continued to do so for 21 miles, causing the woman to become increasingly fearful for her safety. The woman drove toward another Wawa store to seek help, and while she was stopped for a red light, Rosenberg’s vehicle struck the rear of her vehicle in what she thought was an attempt to get her outside of her vehicle. She told police that she could clearly see Rosenberg behind her and believed he was going to attempt to harm her. She drove into the Wawa parking lot and was eventually able to elude him, police said.

West Goshen Police detectives were able to locate and interview Rosenberg, who not only denied the allegations but also said he was not in area during the reported events, the release said. Working with Wawa security personnel, the detectives retrieved video surveillance of Rosenberg inside and outside of both Wawa locations, the release said.

Police said Rosenberg’s Honda bore Pennsylvania registration JFM-4826. Anyone with any additional information or knowledge of similar incidents involving Rosenberg and his vehicle are asked to contact the West Goshen Township Police at 610-696-7400. Police said that charges, which include stalking and harassment, were filed by summons so Rosenberg has not been arraigned yet.
