Chester County Commissioners Marian Moskowitz, Josh Maxwell, and Michelle Kichline toured the Center for Family Health at Coatesville, part of ChesPenn Health Services, this week, and presented the community health organization with a check for $25,000. The check comes from the County’s Appropriation Funds and is part of its annual distribution.

The Commissioners said, “ChesPenn Health Services is a vital asset for health, wellness, and dental care in our area, and we are pleased to provide much-needed financial resources for the tremendous work the organization does. ChesPenn’s health center in Coatesville is a community gem that takes care of the medical needs of residents of all ages, while also promoting healthy choices – leading to a healthier community.”

Susan Harris-McGovern, President and CEO for ChesPenn Health Services, said, “Upon being awarded the generous $25,000 Chester County Commissioners grant, a quote from Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. came to mind: ‘Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’  Thank you, Commissioners, for doing for others.”

ChesPenn, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) headquartered in Delaware County, has satellite health centers in Coatesville, Chester, and Upper Darby. The organization provides pediatric and adult primary care, women’s health, and prenatal care to more than 15,000 adults and children. Additional programs include dental care, behavioral health services, social services, and health education. This year marks ChesPenn’s 50th anniversary.

The Center for Family Health at Coatesville is located at 744 East Lincoln Highway in the City of Coatesville.
