On May 1st, the Friends of Kennett Library will kick off our 2nd Annual community Shop & Dine Raffle, with 31 chances to win $100 (two $50 gift certificates) to local shops and restaurants.
Raffle tickets are available for purchase beginning May 1st through the end of July at the Kennett Library, 216 E. State Street, Kennett Square. One ticket for $10; four for $30; eight for $50; and 20 for $100.
Every day in July, we will draw a raffle ticket to win $100 in local gift certifi- cates. So, with 31 days in July, you will have 31 Chances to Win!!
“The beauty of this raffle is that the gift certificates are being purchased with funds donated by our generous sponsors,” explained Annette Bowers, our FRIENDS of Kennett Library Board Chair. Instead of asking for dona- tions, we purchase the gift certificates from our local restaurants and busi- nesses. It’s a great way to support both the merchant community and the Library. A true win-win for everyone!!

All proceeds from the Friends Shop & Dine Raffle support Adult Literacy and Children’s programs at the Library. The Adult Literacy Program offers English as a Second Language (ESL), General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and preparation for American Citizenship classes as well as one-on- one tutoring. Kennett Library offers hundreds of Children’s programs each year, including English and Spanish story times. The Friends of Kennett Library is a growing group of library lovers! Our mission is to support the Library through fundraising, volunteer services and advocacy.
