‘Find Your Voice’ with West Chester Studio at Uptown

WEST CHESTER — West Chester Studio for the Performing Arts at Uptown! (WCStudio), Uptown!’s award winning theatre school and camps, helps students young and old find their voice.

Uptown! Singer, Tori Koechert, started at WCStudio as a shy, timid middle schooler.  She began with one class and never looked back. “I grew quickly as a performer and person all thanks to WCStudio.” Tori went on to lead roles in both her high school musicals and WCStudio productions like All Shook Up and Love’s Labour’s Lost. Tori was also a featured vocalist in Uptown!’s 2020 NYE Gala. Now a high school senior, Tori will be pursuing Musical Theatre in college. Tori credits WCStudio Director of Education, Therese Walden Murphy, for nurturing her passion for theater. “Ms. Therese has created an environment of friendship, support, and inspiration.”

“It’s all about nurturing creativity while building life skills”, says Walden-Murphy.  “The camps are designed to open the door into a lifelong adventure with the arts,” she explains.

All classes and camps are led by a team of industry professionals who inspire and encourage everyone to reach for their dreams, both onstage and off.  Specifically designed with a certain age range and theme in mind, little ones’ imaginations can run free in “Storybook Theater.” Teens can star in their own commercials in “Acting for the Camera.” Programs run for one week with specialty camps running for two and three weeks.  Early Bird Discounts are available through March 15 and Multiple Camp Discounts are available March 16 through the summer.

Conveniently located in the heart of West Chester near parking, restaurants and shopping at 226 North High Street, West Chester. To begin sharing your child’s voice with the world visit: www.WestChesterStudio.com, call: 484-995-2915 or email:wcstudio@uptownwestchester.org.
