COATESVILLE — Police are investigating another shooting in vicinity of East Diamond Street, a city teen was struck in the leg in the early morning hours, Sunday, just two days after a man was found shot to death in the neighborhood.
Police said witnesses told them that the 17-year-old was being assaulted by a “large group” of juveniles in the area of North 7th Street and East Diamond Street. The shooting victim was transported to Brandywine Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Police took two juveniles into custody, believed to have been involved in the initial assault.
Early Friday, a man’s body, with multiple gunshot wounds, was discovered in the back yard of a home in the 600 block of East Diamond.
