A Willistown man faces charges of sex trafficking, child pornography, sexual assault, conspiracy, and related charges, following a search of his home by authorities and are asking any other potential victims to step forward and alert authorities.
Lawrence Jamieson, 57, and a Norristown man, John Brown, 25, are alleged to have had a large cache of child pornography, as well as had sexual relations with a 15-year-old. One of the images discovered, authorities said, listed the name of a local girl and local high school.
Local police were tipped off to possible child sexual abuse concerns about Jamieson on Aug. 1, prompting an immediate investigation.
Because of information gathered in the investigation, the police were able to get a search warrant for Jamieson’s residence. During that search, police said they recovered approximately 1,000 DVDs, thumb drives and other electronic storage devices.
The police said they conducted an initial review of Jamieson’s storage devices. They said they discovered that the devices contained over 50,000 images and videos. At least 5,000 of the images and videos depict naked children, sexually explicit images of children, and adults sexually assaulting children.
The police also conducted a forensic interview of the juvenile female victim, other interviews and a review of electronic devices. As a result, they say they discovered the full scope of the operations of the defendants.
Authorities say Jamieson introduced the victim to Brown in 2015. The victim was 15 years old. Jamieson and Brown told the victim that Brown was a 17 year old cyber school student. Brown actually was 23 years old at the time. Brown reportedly changed his appearance to look younger. Jamieson and Brown had allegedly agreed on this cover story in order to lure the victim into a relationship.
Brown entered into a sexual relationship with the victim, authorities said. Jamieson and Brown then both, reportedly, began engaging in sexual activity with the victim. Authorities said they took pictures and videos of this sexual activity, stored these electronic records, and exchanged them via text messages and email. This conduct reportedly took place at multiple locations in Willistown and Conshohocken, starting in 2015.
The defendants both were arrested. The charges against them include sex trafficking in minors, sexual abuse of children for creating and possessing child pornography, sexual assault, conspiracy and related charges. Both defendants were committed to Chester County Prison after failing to post bail.
