Community Volunteers in Medicine golf benefit, June 7

GolfWEST CHESTER — Chester County is the wealthiest county in the state of Pennsylvania, and yet has wide class gaps. Many low-income individuals in Chester County work hard to support their families, many whom work multiple jobs.

On June 7, 2016, 34 local and national companies will join together to ease the burden of the poor by raising funds to provide the uninsured with access to healthcare. Through the donation of funds and prizes, participation in golf contests, and the rallying of community support, these companies will benefit Community Volunteers in Medicine at their 15th Annual Golf Classic at Applebrook’s championship course.

CVIM is honored that Wayne M. Withrow, Executive Vice President of SEI Investments, is the Honorary Chair for 2016, alongside with the Chair Jeff March, President and CEO of Citadel. Over the fifteen year history of the CVIM benefit golf event, dozens of companies have shared time and resources to raise more than $3 million for Chester County’s uninsured poor.
