Rt. 340 to close weekdays for two-week repair

RoadClosedRoute 340 (Bondsville Road) is scheduled to close weekdays between Edges Mill Road and East Kings Highway in Caln Township, Chester County, beginning, Wednesday, May 18, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said today.  The closure will be in effect Mondays through Fridays from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM through Wednesday, June 1. 

During construction, Route 340 (Bondsville Road) motorists will be detoured over U.S. 30 (Coatesville Downingtown Bypass), Reeceville Road and East Kings Highway.

The work is part of a $1.5 million project by Caln Township to replace the bridge carrying Osbourne Road over Beaver Creek in Caln Township.
