Chester County SPCA’s board treasurer singled out for recognition
Anyone connected with the Chester County SPCA routinely touts its superb volunteers, a dedicated crew that serves as an integral part of the nonprofit’s operation.
However, every once in a while, an individual’s contributions are so outstanding that they demand additional recognition, said Rich Britton, a spokesman for the animal-advocacy agency. Britton said such a situation occurred with the agency’s board treasurer, Frank Sobyak, who recently received the Chester County SPCA’s Volunteer of the Year Award, an honor so special that it is not bestowed annually, Britton said.
Sobyak was presented with a Carlson rosewood and crystal clock/weather station for service that goes well beyond his position as board treasurer, Britton said.
“Frank is hands-on and devotes countless hours to overseeing all the work of the Chester County SPCA. Working shoulder to shoulder with our board president, Conrad Muhly, no task is too small or too daunting,” said Britton. “Simply put, all of the important work of the CCSPCA greatly benefits from his intelligent and compassionate leadership.”
