Healy, Kincade lead D-East past Frankford, 37-6

DE helmetPHILADELPHIA — Jack Kincade rushed for 110 yards and a TD to lead Downingtown East past Frankford, 37-6, Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

Quarterback Saunders Healy was 11-for-17 for 112 yards and rushed for 52 more yards in leading the Cougars’ offense.

Healy opened the scoring in the first quarter with a 1-yard run. After a safety and a Nick Alvado 3-yard TD run, East had a 16-0 lead. The Cougars were able to boost that led to 23-0 at the half when Healy scored again from a yard out. Jack Kincade added a third quarter one-yard scoring run, and Daniel Liaudaitis scored on a 16-yard run.
