COATESVILLE – All area rising kindergartners and their guardians are invited to a FREE ‘Kickoff to Kindergarten’ program hosted by Coatesville Area Public Library (501 E. Lincoln Hwy, Coatesville.) The program will be held from 2-3 PM, on Thursdays, throughout the summer. Session dates are: July 16, 23, 30; and August 6th and 13th.
The program is made possible through a generous grant from CCRES Educational & Behavioral Health Services. The sessions will focus on a variety of goals including:
- Creative movement through storytelling, mindful breathing and meditation techniques.
- Building self-awareness, self-regulation, compassion and kindness toward self and others.
- Strengthen interaction with peers.
- A light introduction to school subjects.
- Opportunities for speaking, reading, listening and writing/drawing.
In a separate class setting, guardians will simultaneously learn how to best support their new students and learning at home. For more information, contact Amanda: amanda@ah-hah.us -or- call (610) 299-9111.
