KENNETT SQUARE — Teens and book-loving volunteers will be working together to offer thousands of “pre-read” books for sale during Kennett Square’s First Friday Art Stroll on June 5 from 4 – 8 and Saturday, June 6, from 9 – 4.   The Garage Youth Center at 115 S. Union Street will be filled with books from the next-door Kennett Square Resale Book Shoppe.

Light summer reading, mysteries, romance, children’s books, classic literature, histories, and biographies are only a few of the categories available.  Books on sport, self-help, crafts, cooking, and do-it-yourself projects are featured in non-fiction.

Teens at The Garage will be available to carry books to cars, and volunteers from the Resale Book Shoppe will help guide browsers.

While a few will be higher, most hardbound books and trade paperbacks will be $ 2, with paperbacks at $ .50.  On Saturday, there will be a remainder sale at $5/bag from 3 – 4 pm.

The sale will benefit the Kennett Area Senior Center.
