\"22093342-300x207\"<\/a>A program designed to assist people in or approaching career transition will be held Friday at the Penn State Great Valley campus from 8:30 a.m. until noon, a county news release said.<\/p>\n

\u201cJob Search and You\u201d\u00a0\u00a0will provide career assistance through the\u00a0Managing Your Career Transition\u00a0<\/b>conferences provided by\u00a0Penn\u00a0State\u00a0Great Valley\u2019s Office of Continuing Professional Education. The event is being funded by the county and its Workforce Investment Board, the release said.<\/p>\n

Attendance is free to all those who meet the eligibility requirements. To be eligible, a person must have lived in southeastern Pennsylvania for a year, be unemployed or underemployed, registered with PA\u00a0CareerLink, had prior employment with an income of more than $42,000 and an associate degree or higher education level, according to the release.\u00a0Registration is required and can be done at\u00a0www.sgps.psu.edu\/career-transition\/default.ashx<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One session will be given by Patrick Bokovitz, director of the Chester County Department of Community Development and the Chester County Workforce Investment Board, on services available through the county. Presentations will also be made by service providers, and a\u00a0panel of human relations professionals will discuss their insights on the job search process including r\u00e9sum\u00e9 preparation, the job interview process, and other related topics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
