This fall, culinary arts students worked with Penn London Elementary School for a special field trip opportunity.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>PENN \u2014 Aspiring chefs, cosmetologists, nurses and engineers, among others, are encouraged to explore career and technical opportunities at the Technical College High School (TCHS) Pennock\u2019s Bridge Campus on Wednesday, January 28. The open house will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., during which time prospective students and their families can tour the building, meet teachers and students, learn about the programs and enjoy light refreshments provided by culinary arts students. The school is located at 280 Pennock\u2019s Bridge Road in West Grove.<\/p>\n<p>The Technical College High School is a joint venture of the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) and Delaware County Community College (DCCC). As Pennsylvania\u2019s first hybrid career and technical high school\/community college, TCHS offers career and technical programs to high school students; and, DCCC offers associate degree programs to college students.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The most unique aspect of the school is that it offers dual-enrollment classes for high school students that blend career and technical programs with college courses. Students in dual-enrollment programs can graduate from high school with transferrable college credits or more.<\/p>\n<p>TCHS Pennock\u2019s Bridge Campus serves students residing in Avon Grove, Kennett Consolidated, Octorara Area, Oxford Area and Unionville-Chadds Ford school districts.<\/p>\n<p>The school offers the following career and technical programs for high school students:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Allied Health Science Technology<br \/>\n\u2022 Animal Science<br \/>\n\u2022 Automotive Collision Technology<br \/>\n\u2022 Automotive Service Technology<br \/>\n\u2022 Carpentry<br \/>\n\u2022 Computer Information Systems<br \/>\n\u2022 Cosmetology<br \/>\n\u2022 Criminal Justice &amp; Police Sciences<br \/>\n\u2022 Culinary Arts<br \/>\n\u2022 Early Childhood Care &amp; Education<br \/>\n\u2022 Electronics &amp; Robotics<br \/>\n\u2022 Engine Technology<br \/>\n\u2022 Health Career Academy\/Pre-Nursing<br \/>\n\u2022 Health Occupations<br \/>\n\u2022 HVAC\/Refrigeration Technology<br \/>\n\u2022 Marketing and Financial Services<br \/>\n\u2022 Teacher Leadership Academy<br \/>\n\u2022 Veterinary Science<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Applications are currently being accepted for the Technical College High School Pennock\u2019s Bridge Campus.
