COATESVILLE \u2014 The City of Coatesville\u2019s Centennial is just around the corner on April 27, 2015.\u00a0 Get ready for some fun and fabulous celebrations throughout the year!\u00a0 To kick off this significant anniversary, the city is holding a 2015 Coatesville Centennial Logo Design contest open to students living in the Coatesville Area School District only.\u00a0 Designs can be submitted through Tuesday, March 31, at 5:00 p.m.\u00a0 Finalists will be selected by members of the Coatesville Centennial Planning Committee, with notification to the winner by Monday, April 13.\u00a0 Interested in entering your artwork for this contest?\u00a0 If so, visit www.brandywinefoundation.org<\/a> to download the contest guidelines and the contest form.<\/p>\n

A special kick-off event will be held on or near the Centennial anniversary date of Monday, April 27, where the logo winner will be announced, in addition to the announcement of future events celebrating the Centennial through the remainder of the year, and possible news about the City\u2019s redevelopment efforts.<\/p>\n

Members of the City of Coatesville Centennial Celebration Planning Committee include: City Council President Linda Lavendar-Norris; Joe Hamrick, Arvilla Hunt, and Marie Lawson, members of Council; Diane Brownfield, Jay Byerly, Jeff Deacon, John Ross, members of Coatesville Historical Commission; David Collins; Rev. David Davis, Olivet Methodist Church; Dontae Harris, Second Baptist Church; Bill Shaw, Life Transforming Ministries; Chris Wiseman and Tom Gallagher, Brandywine YMCA; Jim Ziegler and Sam Radziviliuk, Iron & Steel Museum; Frances Sheehan, Brandywine Health Foundation; Greg Krajewski, Coatesville Rotary Club; Alray Johnson and Alain Foster, 3CTVLIVE.com; Fred Henrich, Coatesville Savings Bank; Jarrett Jackson, Coatesville NAACP, Mark Lassiter and Don Wilkerson, City of Coatesville; and Judy Skolnick, Coatesville Army\/Navy Store; Donna VanDyne, VanDyne Insurance; and Donna Siter, Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n

The Planning Committee\u2019s next meeting is on Tuesday, February 3, at 4:00 p.m. and others interested in volunteering are welcome to attend.<\/p>\n

The City of Coatesville\u2019s mission is to develop, manage and foster a clean, safe, healthy and growing community for all residents of Coatesville and visitors who frequent the City.<\/p>\n
