{"id":7928,"date":"2014-10-27T09:40:27","date_gmt":"2014-10-27T13:40:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chescotimes.com\/?p=7928"},"modified":"2014-10-27T09:40:27","modified_gmt":"2014-10-27T13:40:27","slug":"coatesville-pd-targets-aggressive-drivers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chescotimes.com\/?p=7928","title":{"rendered":"Coatesville PD targets aggressive drivers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/chescotimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/AggressiveDriving-274x300.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-968406\" alt=\"AggressiveDriving\" src=\"http:\/\/chescotimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/AggressiveDriving-274x300.jpg\" \/><\/a>COATESVILLE \u2014 City police will again be targeting aggressive driving \u2014 especially along Lincoln Highway \u2014 through Nov. 22, again focusing attention on issue, along with the\u00a0Pennsylvania State Police and more than 330 municipal agencies working to together to crackdown on on aggressive driving.<\/p>\n<p>This effort is part of an ongoing effort by city police to curb aggressive driving, working in cooperation with other local police agencies and the State Police.<\/p>\n<p>City police are targeting East and West Lincoln Hwy (Business 30).\u00a0As part of the Aggressive Driving Enforcement and Education Project, the second\u00a0wave will aim to reduce the number of aggressive-driving related crashes, injuries\u00a0and deaths on over 400 roadways throughout the State. Any aggressive driver\u00a0stopped by police will receive a ticket.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Municipal police agencies that participated in last year&#8217;s campaign wrote 53,587\u00a0aggressive-driving related citations, including 31,150 for speeding alone. Traffic\u00a0Control Signal Signs was the second most-common offense, resulting in 5,011\u00a0citations.
