Winicov was elected to lead the Easttown Democrats to greater success supporting\u00a0candidates at the local, state and national levels through energized campaigning and 21st-century strategy,\u00a0organization, and outreach.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look forward to working with Chester County Democratic Committee Chair Brian McGinnis and CCDC Vice\u00a0Chair Robin Greene-Toler, as well as the Pennsylvania Democratic Party, to lead the Easttown Democrats\u00a0to victory,\u201d Winicov said. \u201cState Rep candidate Anne Crowley is running a particularly strong ground\u00a0operation. As past Tredyffrin-Easttown school board member, she is well-positioned to win this fall and\u00a0well-qualified to represent us in Harrisburg.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Outgoing ETDC chair Craig Lewis was elected Vice Chair, and will work closely with Winicov to ensure a\u00a0smooth transition. Lewis works as marketing director of Berwyn Systems. Lewis said \u201cPennsylvania badly\u00a0needs the experience and dedication of Anne Crowley and gubernatorial candidate Tom Wolf to correct the\u00a0mistakes of Governor Corbett. The environment, the economy, and our public education system can\u2019t survive\u00a0another Corbett administration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elected Treasurer was Jim Crowley (Retired US Air Force), who in his professional life works as Executive Director\u00a0of a Philadelphia publisher and professional association for mathematicians. Before being elected\u00a0Democratic committeeperson, he served as Judge of Elections for his precinct.\u00a0Joan Bergquist was re-elected secretary. Bergquist has lived in Easttown for 40 years; she makes her home\u00a0with her husband, James and their adult son, John.<\/p>\n<p>The Easttown Democrats, long a minority party in the Main Line towns of Berwyn, Devon, and Paoli, are\u00a0poised for a sea change among voters, they say. Rising Democratic registration, combined with ever younger\u00a0residents, an extraordinarily unsuccessful and unpopular governor, and the strongest field of down-ticket\u00a0Democratic candidates in a generation, promise a shake-up this November.<\/p>\n<p>Committee members say that Democrats are energized and\u00a0working for the Crowley campaign, the Wolf campaign, Congressional candidate Manan Trivedi, and State\u00a0Senate candidate Tom Kane.
