Jonathan Shave are among city police who will be looking for aggressive behavior on the city&#8217;s roads during July.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>COATESVILLE \u2014 The city&#8217;s Police Department will be joining the Pennsylvania State Police and\u00a0over 330 municipal agencies to conduct targeted aggressive-driving enforcement from July\u00a07 through Aug. 31.<\/p>\n<p>The law enforcement activities will be conducted between July 7th and August 3pt on\u00a0Lincoln Highway and intersecting roadways in the city.<\/p>\n<p>The enforcement aims to reduce the number of aggressive -driving related crashes, injuries\u00a0and deaths on over 400 roadways throughout the state by cracking down on behaviors\u00a0such as speeding, tailgating and running red lights. Any aggressive driver stopped by police\u00a0will receive a ticket.<\/p>\n<p>Municipal police agencies that participated in last year&#8217;s campaign wrote 116,191\u00a0aggressive-driving related citations, including 54,785 for speeding alone. Disobedience of\u00a0traffic control devices\/signs was the second most-common offense, resulting in 14,452\u00a0citations.
