The staff of the Brandywine Health Foundation illustrates its commitment to the Coatesville area.<\/p><\/div>\n

The Brandywine Health Foundation recently announced grants totaling $136,000, bringing the foundation\u2019s giving since it began awarding grants in 2002 to over $12 million.<\/p>\n

\u201cEarlier this week our board of directors unanimously approved grants to four nonprofit agencies providing vital programs and services for individuals living and working in the greater Coatesville area,\u201d said Frances M. Sheehan, president and CEO of the Brandywine Health Foundation. \u201cOur board is extremely proud to partner with these organizations to reduce health disparities in some of Pennsylvania\u2019s poorest communities. The foundation\u2019s grant-making is made possible through the generous support of many individuals, corporations and foundations throughout Chester County and the greater Philadelphia area.\u201d<\/p>\n

The spring 2014 grants recipients:<\/p>\n

Brandywine YMCA –\u00a0<\/strong>$17,000 \u00a0for Coatesville\u2019s Ash Park Summer Camp and SPLASH! Program,\u00a0http:\/\/www.ymcabwv.org\/brandywine-y<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>ChesPenn Health Services \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>$19,000 for electronic dental record for integration with Chester County Community Dental,\u00a0http:\/\/www.chespenn.com\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Coatesville Youth Initiative \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>$60,000 for general operating support,\u00a0http:\/\/www.brandywinefoundation.org\/coatesville-youth-initiative\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Public Safety Training Facility \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>$40,000 for free training programs for Coatesville area community,\u00a0http:\/\/www.chesco.org\/index.aspx?NID=1892<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
