No injuries or property damage were reported, but police are warning residents to be on the lookout for similar devices &#8212; and report them immediately and keep away from them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">On Jan. 22, a caller reported <span class=\"s5\">an<\/span> explosion in <span class=\"s7\">the<\/span> area <span class=\"s8\">of<\/span> the railroad underpass, <span class=\"s9\">at<\/span> <span class=\"s8\">S. Caln<\/span> <span class=\"s8\">Road<\/span> and Olive Street, which occurred on <span class=\"s8\">Monday,<\/span> Jan. 20, around 3 PM, approximately 2<span class=\"s13\">4<\/span> hours before a postal carrier located <span class=\"s5\">an<\/span> undetonated pipe bomb <span class=\"s8\">at<\/span> 1<span class=\"s13\">4<\/span><span class=\"s19\">th <\/span>Avenue and Olive Street. The caller reported it to police after reading news reports of the pipe bomb that was discovered on Tuesday, January 21, 2020.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Responding officers located a device near <span class=\"s7\">the<\/span> railroad underpass that appears to have been detonated. No property damage in the area <span class=\"s5\">of <\/span>the device was discernible. Both devices appear to <span class=\"s5\">be <\/span>&#8220;homemade&#8221; and similar in size and construction. The locations are approximately\u00bd mile <span class=\"s7\">apart.<\/span> Today, officers were again <span class=\"s5\">on<\/span> location and have expanded their search <span class=\"s8\">of <\/span>the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Police strongly encourage residents &#8220;who <span class=\"s7\">see <\/span>something, to say something&#8221;, and <span class=\"s5\">to <\/span>immediately <span class=\"s7\">call<\/span> <span class=\"s7\">911<\/span> <span class=\"s7\">if<\/span> they <span class=\"s5\">observe<\/span> a suspicious <span class=\"s5\">device.<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">Please<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">do<\/span> <span class=\"s7\">not<\/span> attempt to <span class=\"s5\">handle<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">the <\/span>device and maintain an extra <span class=\"s7\">safe<\/span> distance. <span class=\"s7\">Only<\/span> trained <span class=\"s7\">bomb<\/span> technicians should <span class=\"s5\">render<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">an <\/span>explosive <span class=\"s5\">device<\/span> safe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\">Investigators have not identified a motive or suspects, and are asking anyone with information to contact the Caln Township Police Department <span class=\"s8\">at <\/span>610-383-1821.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CALN \u2014 A day before township police found an unexploded pipe bomb, apparently a similar device was detonated near a railroad underpass.
