The Brandyridge Trail near West Creek Road in Pocopson is the newest trail completed by the township\u2019s Public Works Department.<\/p><\/div>\n

POCOPSON \u2014 Township officials made quick work of agenda items during Monday\u2019s Township Board of Supervisors\u2019 Meeting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mark Knightly, Township Director of Public Works, told officials that the newest township trail is nearly complete. The Brandyridge Drive trail should have the stairs linking it to West Creek Road finished by Wednesday, giving walkers a safe passage along Route 52.<\/p>\n

Plans to renovate the historic Barnard House inched forward as officials voted unanimously to accept the lowest of three bids submitted for installation of a first floor heating\/cooling system.\u00a0 The cost \u2013 $16,950 includes the purchase of a unit with the capacity to service additional first floor space slated for future renovation.<\/p>\n

The supervisors said they were pleased with the bids received, adding that this is \u201cabout a third of the costs\u201d received from the previously submitted comprehensive bid package.<\/p>\n

Also during the meeting, Don Lane, chairman of the township\u2019s Deer Management Committee, told officials his committee is ready for the new season. Lane said they have performed safety inspections on tree stands and posted signs on properties and walking trails alerting residents to hunting dates and hours.
