Pictures are courtesy of the City of Coatesville Police Department.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>COATESVILLE \u2013 Following a historic winter storm that hit the East Coast over the past weekend, two Coatesville police officers went beyond their call of duty to help a woman and her baby.<\/p>\n<p>The City of Coatesville Police Department received a call Monday morning from a resident in the Elmwood Gardens section of Coatesville, who was concerned that her street hadn\u2019t yet been plowed. She told dispatch that she was about to run out of formula for her three-month-old baby and wouldn\u2019t be able to get to the store to buy more.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>After hearing about the call, and knowing the baby likely needed a certain type and brand of formula, Officer Carmen Mollichella asked the dispatcher to call the resident back and find out what the baby specifically needed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/chescotimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_9023-300x300.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1270417 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/chescotimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/IMG_9023-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_9023\" \/><\/a>Officer Mollichella and Officer Jared Davis then used one of the 4 wheel drive police vehicles to drive to Walgreens and purchase the special soy-based formula the baby needed.<\/p>\n<p>After they purchased the formula, they drove as far as they possibly could but even their 4wd vehicle could not make it uphill to the woman\u2019s residence. At that time, both officers got out of their car and walked the rest of the way to deliver the formula to the woman and her baby.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEveryone who was there that day, including the chief, offered to pitch in or contribute money to help.
