His responsibilities have included assisting Chester County fire and police departments, along with the Chester County District Attorney\u2019s Office and Pennsylvania State Police with fire scene investigations. Weer\u00a0also supervised and administered the Chester County Juvenile Fire Setters program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He\u00a0started his career with DES in 1988 as a Hazardous Materials Response Team member. In 1994, he then went on to serve as Fire\/Rescue Training Coordinator where his primary role was the coordination of all training logistics for fire first responders in Chester County.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In addition to his role at DES, Weer\u00a0serves on the Pennsylvania Fire Certification Advisory Board as the Fire\/Arson Technical Expert along with being a suppression instructor at the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Outside of DES, Weer\u00a0is a responding volunteer firefighter with more than 35 years of experience. He is a past fire chief and currently serves as trustee for the Po-Mar-Lin Volunteer Fire Company, East Marlborough.
