Lionville Y turns on Saturday Night Lights

YMCA-logoThe Upper Main Line YMCA and Lionville Community Y have added a popular weekend program for youth from fourth through twelfth grades called Saturday Night Lights.

The program “turns on the lights” on Saturday evenings throughout the school year from 7:30 to 10:00 pm for kids to swim, play and have fun. Special events, like Zumba, dance nights, pizza nights, extreme dodgeball, obstacle races and three-point basketball competitions are scheduled throughout the year. It is free for members and open to non-members for a nominal fee ($3-$6). Parental permission is required.

“We are pleased to be able to offer such an important program to the youth in our community,” says Denise Day, CEO and President of YMCA of Greater Brandywine. “Offering Saturday Night Lights at two additional locations in our association will provide even more kids with a safe, healthy and enjoyable place to go on a Saturday night.”

YMCA of Greater Brandywine now offers the program at six branches in Chester County: Brandywine YMCA, Coatesville; Jennersville YMCA, West Grove; Kennett Area YMCA, Kennett Square; Lionville Community YMCA, Exton; West Chester Area YMCA, West Chester; and Upper Main Line YMCA, Berwyn.

All activities are supervised by trained Y staff and kids hang out in age-appropriate groups.
