Caln police seek man for armed robbery, attempted armed robbery

CalnPDCALN — Police are looking for man believed to be behind an armed robbery and an attempted armed robbery — on Lincoln Highway, Wednesday evening.

Police said on Oct. 15, they responded to an attempted armed robbery report and shortly thereafter, a second report of a completed armed robbery during which the suspect assaulted an employee and fled with money.

The first incident — the attempted robbery — was committed at the Hair Cuttery, located in the 3900 block of Lincoln Highway at about 9:20 pm.  The suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun, and demanded money.  When he was unable to quickly obtain money, police said, he fled the scene.  The second incident took place at the Pizza Hut located in the 1800 block of Lincoln Highway at about 9:40 pm. A man, who police believe to be the suspect from the earlier attempted robbery entered the business, displayed a handgun, and demanded money.  He reportedly assaulted a female employee, and was able to obtain an undisclosed amount of cash from the business. The suspect then fled on foot in the direction of Coatesville.

The actor in both incidents is believed to be the same individual, police said. He was described as a white male, approximately 5’8, 165 pounds. Although he was wearing a mask during the robberies, he was described as having green eyes. A tattoo on his right forearm just above his wrist was visible. The suspect was wearing a baggy, solid gray hooded sweatshirt with white stains on the side of the hood as well as the lower back portion of the sweatshirt.  He was armed with a black, semi-automatic handgun which he displayed at both scenes.

Anyone with information concerning these crimes, or the possible identity of this suspect, is asked to contact the Caln Police Department, Criminal Investigation Division, at 610-383-1821.
