COATESVILLE — Police are seeking whereabouts of Dashawn London whom authorities say shot another city man last week through his Olive Street front door.

The was the second shooting incident in the city this week. A city man, Jay Jackson, was shot in the leg following a dispute on June 13. It is the third shooting in less than a month, as three men were wounded by an exchange of gun fire on May 26, also on Olive Street.

Police said that Nafeese Atkins, 21, got into a dispute with London, allegedly over a woman, throughout the day last Thursday, finally agreeing to meet at the Walgreens on Lincoln Avenue to fight.

But apparently, London decided to go to Atkins house and take him on there. Police said that London saw Atkins at his front door – and immediately exited his car and pulled out a gun. Atkins quickly closed the door, but London allegedly fired through the door, striking Atkins.

Atkins was transported to Paoli Hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound.

Police are actively seeking London and circulated his headshot to local media. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department.
